Masonry Bringing Health and Human Services Building to Life

Overhead view of construction site, with block towers coming out of the groundThe Health and Human Services build continues steadily along, taking advantage of the great weather lately.

  • Masonry has completed stair tower 3 and the elevator tower. They have moved on to stair tower 2 and dividing walls in the garages and mechanical rooms. 
  • Underground plumbing is finishing up in the morgue area. 
  • Gravel for the base is being installed in the community room. 
  • Finisher is getting the community room and stair tower 3 ready for concrete floors next week. 
  • Gravel is being installed on the east parking lot in preparation for curb and pavement. 

Peoria County's new Health and Human Services building is scheduled for completion in late 2024 and will house the Peoria City/County Health Department, Peoria County Coroner's Office, Peoria County Regional Office of Education, and the Sustainability and Resource Conservation Department.
