Work remains underway at the Peoria County Courthouse where workers can be seen adhering thermoplastic polyolefin (or TPO) to the roof, used to reflect heat away during warmer months. The base layer is placed before the wall layers in order to overlap the latter over the former, creating a way for precipitation to pour more easily onto the downward slope.
